We have been there several times now and the food was cooked to the point every time. If every cook would do magic like that, we would live in the land of milk and honey. The service and the location right on the street were not completely overwhelming, but that is a gripe at a high level. You should definitely stop by here. Or several times to be on the safe side. ;)

It is a nice restaurant with a small but fine menu. The choice for vegetarians was unfortunately limited to one dish, but it was still very tasty. The waitresses were very friendly. I recommend it to others.

The food was very tasty, but I didn't like our waiter, he was easily drunk and even after I had indicated that I found his jokes sexist, he didn't stop talking like that. Too bad. For me that didn't fit the ambience and frame. Point deduction!

A really great restaurant. The food is delicious. It doesn't matter whether it's liver, fish, roast beef or spaghetti. In addition, the service is great. The man who served us is a guy you immediately find likeable. His swing and his relaxed sayings complete the great overall picture. All in all, I can only recommend the restaurant to everyone.

When we strolled through the streets here and saw the restaurant, we never thought that such a good cook was hiding there! The food was amazing! Only had noodles with turkey breast fillets, but even there you can do a lot wrong. The turkey was tender and the noodles as ordered! Delicious. The service is also very friendly. The beer was a millimeter below the calibration mark, so we immediately had 2 fruit schnapps on the table. But would I have seen that there was something wrong with the filling quantity ?! Not at all.

Exceptionally good food. The offer is not too big and the prices are normal for the region. All of the staff were very friendly. The building, steeped in history, is really interesting. Everything in great condition and also very clean. We recommend.

Our first choice when we eat in the region! We will especially remember the Valentine's Day 2020 dinner. We came spontaneously and the offer spoke directly to us. A really great offer with two first-class dishes. Praise to the chef! I absolutely cannot confirm that the service is rated as unfriendly - on the contrary! We were always warmly welcomed and served. The complaints that dogs are not allowed and are therefore poorly rated is not understandable. We also have a dog, but inquire beforehand if it is allowed. On the Hofwirth's website you will be informed about this openly. The beer garden is exempt from this regulation.

Nice change from the typical bavarian restaurants! Beautiful room, cozy bar, pleasant people, very accommodating and I love that both the owner and his chef are hands on and taks a lot of pride in their quality and service. Also a breathtaking area to just have a cafe or meal between Austria and germany

One of the best pork filets I ever had, very delicious and soft. The Wiener Schnitzel was also extraordinary.

The atmosphere in the beer garden and restaurant are very pleasant. The prices for some dishes are not for the small budget, but very excellent. Since some restaurants in the village are no longer open, the Hofwirth zur Post is usually well attended when opening times are not continuous. A stay here is recommended. Caution: closing time in the afternoon!
